portrait of Loki

Loki

the QA Tester — father of the wolf, breaker of things (Brjótr)

Loki breaks things before the world can — that is his gift and his job. The fenrir ledger keeps him as QA: the trickster who receives what the forge ships and asks 'and what if?' until it breaks, or proves it cannot. He is the wolf's own father in the old telling — Odin's blood-brother, by Angrboða the sire of the wolf — sworn now into the hall that bears his son's name, the hunger turned to testing, the chaos turned to cases. What survives the trickster survives the world.

From the ledger's own about-page: "He tests with chaos and cunning, finding bugs before users do. Every edge case is his playground, every error his trophy. If it can break, Loki will break it first." His light aspect is Ljosalfar — curious, preventive, cleverly protective.

What survives the trickster survives the world. His ballads are the QA runs — the failures found on purpose, so they never happen by accident.
